i went to see the Harry Potter movie today with Evan. and let me tell you, it was /great/. i would definatly go and see it again. the boy who plays Harry Potter is the cutest, i want to marry him. (CHIMO! i hear you scream in the distance...) Evan and i had prime seats, in the balcony of the Cinerama. if it hadn't been good, i would have thrown a fit. the entire movie deal cost $23 dollars if you dont include lunch. Tickets, which i ordered over the phone, were $5.50 each, plus a one dollar surcharge. Parking by the Cinerama was a million dollars. actually, 9 dollars, because since Harry Potter is two hours and forty five minutes long, i had to pay an extra four dollars. but the machine wouldnt take my card, so i had to pay with a ten dollar bill, and of course it didnt give change.

i came home and watched Leon (aka The Professional) with my dad and Evan. my mom fell asleep, too bad for her. that movie is so excellent. Errol joined us for part of it, and i made sure to cover his eyes during the very gruesome scenes. i believe i've talked about this before, but i will talk about it again. its hard to comprehend why they would take 24 minutes out of the american version! what were the editors thinking? apparently (i havent /seen/ the american version, mind you) the best character building scenes and important dialogue is in those 24 minutes. i want to see the american version now, just to compare, but i'm afraid it will change my outlook on the movie. i certainly hope not.

around midnight thirty i picked up Scott, where he was showing thigh on 15th and 45th. (no, not really.) we drove around and went to The Pearl, because Bauhaus was going to close in a half hour and the bar was probably already shut down. it was shut down already at the Pearl too, so they guy gave us each a half cup of drip coffee for free. that place really is like a fictional coffee shop. Imagine the most done up, pretentious coffee house that you can. and then imagine men dressed in all black with berets, women in tutu's, a guy with a cowboy hat playing chess with an older black man, and a couple hip mod girls with bob cuts and boots. multiply that by a thousand and you've got the pearl. needless to say i always feel out of place there. (always, what am i talking about, i've only been there once before) :) we then headed north, drove around by carkeek park for a little bit, tried to steal a road sign (but it wouldnt fit in my car... so we decided to get a screwdriver and a saw and go back to 8th and 118th tomorrow) and then went home. it is nearly 3 am now... and i must babysit for the bebe in the morning. i would like a pair of big clunky knee high boots. not for anything having to do with la bebe. i just want them.

okay enough of that, nigh nigh boo boo
